Who Are We Looking For?
We have great ambitions for our students, and for the communities we hope they will work to benefit. Our vision rests with the people who create the environment in which the students live and who share their knowledge and enthusiasm with them. We aim to hire the best educators and staff from within the local community, nationally and internationally.
We seek colleagues who are:
- Enthusiastic about the Aga Khan Academies’ vision of creating homegrown, ethical leaders in the countries where we operate
- Committed to our values of pluralism and meritocracy
- Eager to play a role in our vibrant school community
“We are heartened by an important new World Bank study which indicates that it is not the quantity of time or money that leads to educational success, but rather the quality of specific educational experiences. The stimulus provided by extraordinary teachers and exceptional companions is most important.”
His Late Highness Aga Khan IV
Mombasa, August 2007

Fostering Learning and Growth
“I was drawn to the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa for its holistic and purpose-driven approach to education, which integrates the International Baccalaureate curriculum with the Aga Khan Curricular Strands. This unique combination nurtures not only academic excellence but also ethical leadership, values-based learning and a strong sense of global citizenship.
The Academy’s diverse and inclusive community of staff and students encourages collaboration, cultural exchange and shared growth. Regular opportunities for professional development and reflection have deepened my teaching practice, inspiring me to innovate in the classroom while continuing to grow both personally and professionally as part of this dynamic learning environment.”
Anuradha Moshin, Grade 4 Homeroom Teacher, AKA Mombasa
Growing, Learning, Inspiring
“I joined the Academy to be part of a diverse and dynamic community where I could grow professionally while contributing meaningfully. Working at AKA Mombasa has helped me sharpen my communication and organisational skills and it has given me the chance to engage with exciting partnership programmes.
What I value the most is the Academy’s spirit of pluralism and the incredible diversity of students, who bring bright ideas and innovation and go on to succeed at top universities worldwide. It is truly rewarding to be part of this vibrant community. The campus itself is a wonderful place to work, full of energy and collaboration. Every day here feels like an opportunity to learn, grow and be inspired.”
