Student Life
Beyond the classroom, day students and boarders experience the full vibrancy of Academy life. They can try out an array of sports and creative activities, and put their skills to use for others in their service learning projects.

“We must... infuse our students with what I would call three “A’s” of modern learning – the spirit of anticipation, the spirit of adaptation and the spirit of adventure. This will happen best in learning environments which are both serious and focused on the one hand, but which are also joyous and inspiring places, operating on the cutting edge of pedagogy and knowledge.”

Growing and Learning Through the Residences
“The residential programme at AKA Maputo brings together students from different places to learn new skills, gain knowledge and build relationships. I’ve had a great and memorable experience so far.
Students share rooms with three roommates, each with a study table and storage, and enjoy a common room for games, TV and snacks. Our day starts at 6 am, followed by school from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm with breaks, then study time, free time, sports or gym. Dinner is at 6:15 pm, followed by more study or relaxation, with lights out at 9:30 pm.
Fridays and Saturdays are for religious visits, and Sundays for excursions. Residential parents are supportive, and I’ve learnt to build a strong bond with everyone on campus.”
