Aga Khan Academy Mombasa alumna Mary Favour shares her story as part of the Talent Identification Programme at the Aga Khan Foundation New York Gala.

Alumni

After being a part of an extended family, Academy graduates join the Aga Khan Schools (AKS) Alumni Network to stay connected with each other, the Academies and the wider Aga Khan Schools. With professional resources, class reunions and opportunities to volunteer, alumni continue to network for their own and others’ benefit.

“By engaging with one another, our alumni learn from each other, mentor each other and come up with new ideas on how to improve each other’s lives and ways to contribute to the Academies and our communities.”

Continuing the Journey

The alumni committee organise in-person social events for alumni around the world to keep in touch. Participants can engage with professionals in their industry and civil society leaders through the speaker sessions, and can themselves join panels to share their experiences with Diploma Programme students. Many alumni mentor Diploma Programme students, with more initiatives coming soon.
