Today is World Teachers' Day with this year's theme being: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future. Across the Aga Khan Academies Network and the Aga Khan Development Network, thousands of individuals from a multitude of countries and cultural backgrounds, and at all levels of the education spectrum, help improve the quality of life of hundreds of thousands of people by being teachers.
Through the #COVID19 global pandemic, teachers have been working tirelessly to ensure all students have continuous access to education. To all these dedicated individuals, today, we have one simple message to share: Thank You. Thank you for all your hard work and commitment. Thank you for helping so many students look forward to a brighter future. And thank you for contributing to the development of future generations consisting of well-rounded, ethical and pluralistic leaders for tomorrow.

The Aga Khan Academies Student Exchange Programme completed its fifth cycle from 13 January to 29 March, with over 45 students from the Academies in Mombasa, Kenya, Hyderabad, India and Maputo, Mozambique spending one semester abroad on different campuses.

Aga Khan Academy Mombasa celebrates 20 years of excellence
The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa in Kenya celebrated its 20th anniversary on Monday, 19 February in the presence of Princess Zahra Aga Khan. Established in 2003, the Academy in Mombasa was inaugurated by His Highness the Aga Khan, the founder and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), and the former late president of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki. It is the first in an integrated, global network of residential schools known as the Aga Khan Academies, with other campuses located in Hyderabad, India, Maputo, Mozambique and Dhaka, Bangladesh.
