Our teachers had an interesting and engaging professional development session today by Ms Khan, who is the PYP coordinator at the International School of Billund, a school funded by the Lego Foundation in Billund, Denmark.

They learnt how Lego can be used for a variety of things like building creative thinking, increasing concentration and teaching certain subject-based concepts.

Planning such lessons will enhance our metacognition as we need to think carefully about how students learn. We will attempt to get more of such resources and use them effectively in the classroom.

Ms Khan also travelled to Gujarat with our Grade Four teacher Reema to collect information first-hand on the extensive work done by Aga Khan agencies to solve water problems in the state.

We are glad she could spend a couple of days with us and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent together.
