Academy grade 9 (MYP4A) students responded to an invitational challenge to create and present new advertisements for the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad to a guest panel consisting of external relations, marketing and admissions managers as well as the Dean of Students, representing senior management.

Groups selected their own focus areas and topics. The process of designing these commercials included capturing moments on camera, gathering interesting information, exploring styles of presentation, and lastly, using the 'big five' (target audience, colour, visual elements, mood and messaging) as an analytical tool to describe these advertisements.

Following the formal presentation, Mrs. Leigh Fisher shared her views and industry experience in response to the advertisements. Structure, font consistency, logo positioning, audience consideration and how to match style to target markets were discussed. Specific fonts, colours and logo association are important ways to showcase any organisation for better reach and greater impact.
