Mahmuda Aktar was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is one of the individuals and societies teachers at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Mahmuda taught at Maple Leaf International School in Dhaka before joining the Academy.

Mahmuda aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by creating opportunities for students to be more empathetic towards one another.

“I aim to prepare my students to be more empathetic so that they can build good relations with the people they interact with,” Mahmuda said. “The Aga Khan Academies Learner Profile enables students to be more respectful towards each other.”

Mahmuda loves her exceptional classroom; it is her favourite part of the Academy.

“I love interacting with the students in my classroom,” Mahmuda said. “It comes to life because of the wonderful students.”
