Meet Nafisa Nawar, Grade 2 teaching assistant

Nafisa Nawar was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is the Grade 2 teaching assistant at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Before joining the Academy, Nafisa worked as a Junior School teacher at The Aga Khan School, Dhaka. Nafisa secured her Bachelor of Pharmacy at BRAC University and Master of Education in educational leadership and school improvement at BRAC Institute of Educational Development. 

Nafisa aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by creating an inclusive classroom for the educational and emotional needs of the students. 

“By exhibiting the Aga Khan Academies Learner Profile, I wish to be a role model for my students,” Nafisa said. “Students will then learn the skills to support positive societal development.” 

Nafisa loves the natural view of the Academy and the open spaces, which provide opportunities for boundless interactions. 

“I thoroughly enjoy interacting with the students in these wide-open spaces and corridors,” Nafisa said. “These places allow the students with plenty of opportunities to learn and explore.”
