Last year, the Aga Khan Academy, International Baccalaureate and University of British Columbia (UBC) entered a partnership agreement to recognize the Academies’ Teacher Preparation Programme (TPP) in Mombasa, Kenya. Within this agreement, UBC faculty members will evaluate teachers engaged in the TPP in order to be recognized as International Baccalaureate (IB) educators.

Under this partnership, IB Teacher Education at UBC is welcoming six new Aga Khan Academy teacher interns with whom they will work over the next 18 months.

The UBC IB team and mentor teachers from the Academies will build relationships as well as connect and learn from one another in different cultural contexts.

Meet the TPP interns here.
