The Aga Khan Academy Maputo welcomed its Early Years students back on campus on Thursday, 14 January for in-person learning. Along with the rest of the campus, safety guidelines have been put in place for our Early Years as we continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the continuity of education. Here, we hear from an Early Years teacher about the first day back for the Early Years students.

"We had an exciting Thursday at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo as our Early Years students returned after months of remote learning, with some coming to campus for the very first time.

Students began their day getting to know each other while also discussing the new safety protocols on campus to stop the spread of COVID-19. We learned about the importance of keeping and respecting everyone's personal bubble, which helps everyone keep a safe distance from each other. The students had a great and fun time exploring the centers and playing with everyone. They all will certainly develop their self-management skills better with guidance from their teachers.

We cannot wait to have them back next week!"
